Any install tips

For Meziere electric water pump, ended up getting one after all


Al, do you have any tips, already gutted the stock T-stat

This is a very easy install. LS1howto.com has a good write up. The thing that gets glossed over is the fact that it uses a standard sbc thermostat and it's installed in the opposite water port. The pump will come with the upper hose nipple installed. You'll need to remove the nipple and drill 1 or 2 threesixteenths inch holes in the base of the stat for water to flow thru when the stat isn't opened then install it in the upper port and reinstall the nipple.
There are many ways to wire it and I chose to use a relay and fire it with the fuel pump relay trigger wire. That has the pump only on when the fuel pump is on ie. when the motor is running. I didn't want it running with just the key on because of possible battery cunsumption problems when programming.
