I read somewhere on here that if you got the performance axel(3.23) with a auto it came with a aluminum driveshaft.Is this true? Mines a 02 Z. Thanks

I'm not sure if it applies to all years. 2000 and earlier definitely fall into that category.

If you have an A4 and 3.23s, you can pretty much check for yourself by crawling under the car.

 

Thought all LS1s came with Al driveshafts. Climb under your car and see if yours is rusted
