Air tubes off manifolds/headers, do I need them?
I just installed headers on my ls1 and for some reason my air tubes did not want to fit by any means. I have them hooked up right now, but it's just with hose that makes it look like hell. Do I even need those air tubes, can I just block them off? They're the ones that are on both sides and go to the big tube in the back. It's not the egr valve. Thanks guys
If you got the Header for the 98-99's, you would need to purchase the AIR Tubes from those model years. Those tubes are $37 each. You can block off the AIR Flange on the Header with block off plates and remove the hoses. If you remove the AIR Pump, you will need the code deleted with LS1 Edit or you will get a SES light.

LongGun, did you remove your cats? if so air is useless, if you have cats they might be helpful to slightly more friendly to the environment.
