Which air lid is the best

Im wondering what LS1 air lid is the best, i know there is granatelli, SLP and others but what is the best out of all of them and which drop in filter flows the best as well that give the most power to the wheels. Just curious and asking for help dont want to make any mistakes. Thanks in advance

Ya that would be great LaredoZ28, i think with those two meaning lid and filter with exhuast cut out and tune i should be happy with the power output for a little while.

33-2118 is the K&N part number.

as a matter of fact my brother has a 99 TA and he put the SLP lid 12" dynomax bullitt with cutout, and the K&N filter and he threw 300HP with 326of so FPT on a stock tune. car went 13.5 in the quarter with those mods. On 100 shot of spary and his 3200 circle d stall and longtubes he went 11.9 @113 on stock tune. now he has the LS6 intake with the 241 heads.

with that combo he has now he should keep up if not beat the c6 Z with no issues. I cant wait till i get my LS1 im gonna pick it up on tuesday with hopefully no issues. So far the only thing thats holding me up is the salesperson, lol. Im gonna get it on the dyno and see what numbers it pulls stock and then start the modding, will see what happens thanks for the part number, appreciate the help.

No prob, thanks again ill hit you up. Well soon ill have both in my driveway and for me its hard to pick which is the best since both have there pros and cons. I dont get it with people if you lose once and you gave it the best your car had there is no point in doing it over and over again just abusing the car but some people like the z06 owner just dont get it. Its good to see that we can mod our cars and beat a Z06 but man i would love to have a Z06 though, ohh well i can dream for now and maybe later will see.

the may 2004 gm high tech tested all the lids and they got the most out of the texas speed and performance lid . It beat most them by about 1 or 2 hsp. the ones that werent even close were the g2 and the mti so dont get them. The rest were all real close .
