Is there any benefit to installing an after market air lid if you already have the ram air edition lid ?

Hell yes there is! Installing an aftermarket lid gets rid of the bulky air silencer box behind the stock lid, and gives you a lot more air flow. Typically people see gains of around 10-15rwhp. I recommend the Texas Speed and Performance lid or the MTI lid. You'll notice a difference in top end power.

Let me be the first one to tell you that an aftermarket lid is a lid is a lid.

Either TSP or MTI. Whichever you like best. If you are on a tight budget, get the SLP blemish lid.

 

TSP black lid is $99, SLP blemished lid is $75.

I'd go TSP.

Couldn't you get the SLP options form the factory on a WS6 like on a SS? If so, you may already have a SLP lid if the previous owner opted for it.

good price, great look and said to have the best gains (probably only 1hp though...lol).

and you can get it designed for a larger maf if you plan to upgrade that later on.

 

The WS6 wasn't made by SLP. It was made by ASC.

I believe he was saying 1hp over other lids, not a 1hp gain over stock.
