Post air intake opinions

I'm looking for feedback on the Whisper Motorsports high flow air cleaner lid and the SLP cold air kit. Price difference is only about $50.

Talking

lids are lids..
I read on the slp forums where a guy bought his and had a fitment issue.. He lives near the SLP shop so he went there.. They looked at it and said that "some fit better than others"...
Not a good reply to me so I am not getting theirs.
I also went to the SLP Customer Appreciation Day in Ennis where I looked at many different lids and found what SLP said to be true. Some SLP lids do fit better than others (main issue is the the front corners dont fit flush). I then looked at MTI and Whisper lids. I liked the clear ones but they are made of a harder plastic and I am told they tend to crack. But they are soo pretty. I decided to personally get a Carbon fiber look whisper lid.

Now for the ram air effect I just saw in a post about the super sucker. it seems pretty kewl and I will find someone with it to make sure it fits tight and doesnt flex. Once I see it in person I can then decide to buy it. For now its in first place with the Fast toys kit second..

For filters I am going with the Holley Powershot. just because its blue. I am sure it and the K&N will both flow enough.. but i like the blue color better and the fact that the Holley actually fits.

I've heard nothing but praise for the Whisper lid and Holley Powershot filter. I haven't heard anything about the cold air kits. With only a $50 difference between the two, I am not sure what is the better buy.

Get whatever airbox lid you want, the only real difference will probably be (to paraphrase what was said before) "some fit better than others." I went with the Direct-Flo and it fits great. Filters -- again, no big difference. I have had no fitment problems with either my K&N or my Holley Powershot.
For ram air, you can't beat the updated Fast Toys kit. Big difference there.
