Air filter question?

you got an air filter with a catback? Please explain to us where you bought this from and why they gave you a filter with a catback....correct me if I am wrong....
By the way, K&N filters offer very little gain if any on LS1's. I run one on mine just to save me the hassle of buying new filters, that way I can just wash it and be on my way.
