Accel Digital Fuel Injection System???
What is this exactly? A buddy of mine says he has one that would work on my car. It sounds like a pretty serious mod. Is it only good for like heavily modded cars? Any info would help.

Accel does make a DFI kit for LS1s.
I don't consider myself too knowledgeable when it comes to DFI though (never used it, don't know anyone who's used it) but you may be able to gather a little info from this article: http://www.highperformancepontiac.com/tech/0404pon_dfi/
DFI is expensive and you do not need it. Once you get serious about modding/racing then DFI would be something to look into.
