Absolute Speed heads + 215/220 old man cam = :-) ?

What do you guys think of running Absolute Speed Stage2 LS1 heads (dual springs) with one of the new Thunder Racing "old man" 215/220 .600/.523 115 LSA cams?

I am looking for a head/cam combo that will give me near stock idle quality but yet increase power all the way thru the rpm range on my daily driver. I am still running a stock bottom end, so I don't want a cam that will require revving over 6300rpm to make power - so, I'm looking for higher horsepower throughout the rev range, not just at redline... I'd like to see 400 on the dyno though.

check my sig for other mods on the car, it's a basic bolt on car that I use for commuting as well as Solo2 competitions and a bit of roadracing. With the ASP pulley, aluminum flywheel and carbon fiber driveshaft, I am trying to make this a quick revving road-racing engine at all rpms below 6400, and I'm thinking those heads and that cam might be perfect for what I want.

opinions?

How does the Z06 cam compare to that "Old Man".I think it has normal idle.

I mainly jumped in her to say PLease give me a link to Absolute.I cant get there even after gettin a link from some1 here maybe yours will work for me? yeah the peak at 6.3K I know what you mean,I'm concerned w/torque low end and mid range power.Street not Drag

I'm thinking of GTP S2 heads..and would like to see some comparisons like LS6 heads or these S2 Absolute heads.

absolute speed heads are good and yes that combo will be good...but id go with a 224 but that wouldnt sound like a stock idle......

I was originally considering the TR220, and still am a bit, I just think that "old man cam" would work really well with the flow characteristics of the Absolute Speed Stage2 heads with some double springs on them, combined with a lightened rotating mass (ASP pulley, aluminum flywheel and carbon fiber driveshaft)...

I'm thinking/hoping it will be a quick revving "street" monster from 3k to 6300 or so. and sound stock and be emissions legal!

Exactly what I'm looking for!

Thunder Racing "old man" cam
215/220 .600/.523 115 LSA

2002 LS6 cam
204/218 .550/.550 117.5 LSA

LPE GT2-3 cam
207/220 .573/.580 118.5 LSA

These are 3 great cams to go with for near stock idles, or at least thats what I'm hearing from others. The old man cam has that .600 lift on the intake and really radical ramps apparently, you need some serious valvesprings with that thing, but it should easily make the most power of the 3 everything else being equal. It should also increase power across the rev range, not just up high like the LS6 cam. The LS6 cam's biggest benefit would seem to be price and waranty concerns. I don't know that much about the LPE cam, with its slightly higher lifts and longer durations and higher LSA I would have to guess it would be like an LS6 cam on steroids - more power everywhere.
