Unhappy A4 ? Mine slips in 1st & 2nd, but not 3rd and OD...

Is my transmission screwed or could it be something simple? It feels like a manual with the clutch goin out in 1st and 2nd gears. But when it shifts into 3rd and OD it acts fine and locks up just fine.
I have a Vigilante 3,200, Trans Go shift kit, Stock tranny with 54,000 miles (30,000 w/converter)
I race the car just about every weekend. It pulls low 1.6 60' times and runs (ran) low 12's.

Yep she's gone son, pretty soon it'll feel like a slippen clutch then get all the way to nonexistant. Sorry about your luck, but It's part of the game.

Wait a second, how long have you been driving this car? I ask because that is exactly how a Vig3200 feels like, very loose on the 1st and 2nd gears. Now, if it feels looser than normal (for a Vig3200) then I would say your clutches are on there way out. Did it just happen or has it been getting worse? I also have a Vig3200 in my SS.

The Vig has been in for about 30,000 miles and pulling low 1.6 to mid 1.7 60' times.
his is something unusual.

Well your tranny is gone then. 30,000 miles with high stall TC(and a shift kit) on a stock tranny running 1.63 60's and low 12's will definately kill it. I'd go with a SLP\Yank HP tranny.

I didn't see him list a tranny cooler in the tranny mods.

Did you install one or have one put in? Please say you did
