Just looking for some input on launch techniques was wonder what you guys think is the fastest method

Do you hold brake and rev and to what rpm?

Start in 1st and go up to drive or just leave it in drive?

And traction control on or off for 1/4 mile?

I keep it in drive (not overdrive) and put my foot on the brake and then brake torque the car up to however high it will go without moving. Then when the light goes green I let off the brake..the car lurches and I mash the gas. This has gotten me a 2.096 60ft time with the car below. I keep traction off.

Cool

It depends on your tires and track prep.Just hold down the brake and rev it as high as you can without spinning the tires on take-off.If you spin really bad like I do (sucky street tires) then you may have to just feather the throttle a little on take-off to keep from going sideways. As far as the position goes, just leave it in drive, the tranny shifts anyway (I think) regardless of shifter position. Also there is no way that you can shift faster than the comuter. No traction control! I lose .2 in the 1/8 when I use TC.
