99 Camaro Z28 Monsoon door speaker replacement ?

I blew my passenger side door speaker. Just looking for a replacement. Entering the speaker number into the gmpartsdirect website returns nothing. Anyone know where I can get one or what the replacement part number is on gmpartsdirect ?

The number on the speaker is:
09370189

Thanks.

go to your local chevy dealer...go to the service and parts center, and tell them what you want.

or you could just get rid of the crappy delco stuff and get a decent speaker (and probably save some money, too). any 6.5" speaker will fit that location, and since you have the monsoon, you'll need a 2-way speaker that has separate leads for each cone...

Just trying to save a few bucks and avoid the usual huge dealer markup.

if you really want to keep the stock equipment, try the classified section on this site or ebay, there's usually someone selling their stuff after swapping out the entire system.

i'd give you mine for free, but i threw all the stock speakers in the trash can after i swapped them out. that's how much i thought of them...

yea man...my freind replaced his stock speakers with Pioneer's....and he's been blastin that thing for the past 2 years and it still sounds as good as the day he put them in. If it was my car, i would replace them with something other than the crappy stock ones.

you don't want to put just any aftermarket speakers in. SoundStream & Orion make 2 ohm speakers, and you will require an Adapter ring for the 6 3/4 hole, else it won't seal all around = not good bass.

the monsoon unit is bi-amped, so will need to run another tweeter on the sail panel

the Monsoon is 2 ohms, and most aftermarket are 4 ohms, severely limits how loud/deep/clear the OEM deck can push aftermarket speakers.

you don't get a speaker, you get the whole basket & speaker, my warranty replacement came in the plastic holder, ready to bolt to the door, so try the part # off that.

i sent pics of all this to Brent Franker, search his site for pics.
