98 ls1 hp rating

hey, whats the factory horse power rating for a 98 camaro ls1, i just picked one up for a daily driver, what a fun car!

i believe its 305hp flywheel...but most dyno 290-305 at the wheels

Yep, he's correct.

Your car is rated at 305HP/335TQ by Chevy, but it really makes about 350/370.

I believe all 4th gen. V8s were underrated.

correct. LT1s were rated at 275 or 285 depending on year but actually make about 295. LS1s were rated 305 or 310 hp depending on year but are closer to 345.
