Question 98 LS-1 into an 85 Vette? (LS-1 Related)

I know this is a Camaro forum, and I have a 99 SS so don't stone me. But I just got an 85 Vette CHEAP and a used 98 Corvette LS-1 CHEAP. Now I want to put'em together. Can anyone help point me in the right direction? Im going to need new coil packs, and a new ECM. Im also pretty sure Im going to need new engine mounts, wiring, ect. Oh and a transmission, it came with the 4+3, but I want a 6-speed. Im not sure I could use the 4+3 even if I wanted to. Is this even worth it??? Or should I put that LS-1 into something else (more worthy?)

Try to contact Tracer X, he was on LS1.com but I don't think he's been there much lately. I'm sure you can still look him up though, at least get his e-mail addy.

I believe he swapped an LS1 into an '84 Vette, so he could probably help you out.

From what I've read, an LS1 swap into a C4 is a real PITA. Good luck though.

Try the Conversion/Hybrid section of www.ls1tech.com for help on that.

I have a contact who might have a C5 tranny for that.
