Just curious, does 98-03 cobras come in automatic or just manual....?

99 and 01 = 5 speeds.
03 = 6 speeds.
03 = 6 speeds.

i heard the 03s have same tranny as us.. t56... not sure though

Yeah, it's a T56.
Not sure if there's any differences between the ones in the F-bodies, though.

Yes the 03 SC Cobra's do use the T56 Transmission, As well as the Viper uses it too. The Ford Cobra's T56 has a very weak input shaft though, as is everything else used by ford too. their IRS also is very weak, I have seen 8 out of 10 SC Cobra's blowing their rear ends even in stock form on Street tires. Now, the Viper's T56 is the strongest T56 Tranny used.
