Are 93-97 &98-01 Wiper Arms Interchangeable?

Are 93-97 &98-01 Wiper Arms Interchangeable?
.....yeah yeah, I know 
......not much of a technical engine question.
But being that a lot of the guys here (me included) probably owned a 93-97 at one time, I think my chances of getting an answer should be pretty good though.
When I got my '01, one of the things that jumped out at me was the all dead space between the wiper blade and the fresh air inlet grill at the botom of the windshield. I remember my '95 had wiper arms with wide plastic which took up the gap between the arm & blade and made it look more "finished".
I'd like to get a set of older arms to put on, but I want to make sure that GM didn't change the motor sweep, mount angle or arm mount style between 97-98.
Does this annoy anyone else, or do I just have issues?
