Depends on how it was driven. Yes, mystic is more rare than others, but not worth anything extra (to me at least).

If you buy a 6 speed car, understand that you will need to buy a new rear end at some point. The "best" engine is debatable. Some years had better cams, others had better intakes.

Are you planning on putting in a cam? If so, get an 01/02 that already has the LS6 intake, or you could buy a 99-00 and install one for around 300 bucks . IIRC, the 99-00s have a slightly better cam setup.

Long story short, it's not a "bad" deal for that car, but I would shop around more and get the one you want

I'd do it as long as you don't have any issues with having an automatic vs. a 6-speed.

98's are a little diffferent than the 99 and later. Some claim they are the worst due to oil pump failures and the pcm being a little a harder to tune. My 98 has 137,454 on it now and no problems. Do a search on LS1tech.com and you will see tons of topics on this

If you want a 6spd car, I'd wait.
No sense in going into debit for something you don't want.

It took me an extra 2 months of looking, but I found my 6pd car.

TMV trade in = $6,081, private = $7,279 , dealer = $8,525

from Edmunds (pricing in Fl, probably a little higher in CA). Also, they didn't give an option on mileage but I'd think they are calculating it at roughly 100K for a 1999; that difference is probably balanced with the CA vs FL deal..
So, for the $$ it doesn't sound to bad, unless your set on a manual.. just remember your the customer, set your number and stick to it, they'll always be another don't settel..

persoanlly I'd hold out for t-tops or convertible with lower miles and pay a little more, but that can be hard to find

best of luck

Personally, I would jump on it. With that mileage though, I would probably expect a problem or two to come up.
