4L60E Drain screw?
I am going to guess on this one (so if I am incorrect please correct me), there is no drain for the 4l60E transmission, I believe you have to drop the transmission pan, and I believe you add the transmission oil through the dipstick with the red snap cap on it.

Rated from 1-10, how hard is it to do?
Any tips anyone want to give me so I don't:
A) Spill over a gallon on tranny fluid everywhere
B) Damage the pan
Or should I just take it to a transmission shop?
Thanks for the help.

Buy a pan with a plug, or just buy the plug, and drill/tap it into your existing pan. That way you can change the fluid as much as you want, without having to take the pan off each time.

GM and their ****
I always install a plug as I drop the pan for the first time. They sell a plug at most local parts stores that you just have to drill a hole and screw to halves together, than insert the drain plug. I then drop the pan for filter every 30k and drain just the fluid between pan drops (15k). That will keep the fluid clean since you only drop approx half the fluid out when you drop the pan. Allready in the girlfriends car. They have not put drain plugs in GM cars since the late 70's. I asked the instructor at a GM tranny school back in 1980 why no plug. He said, 1) weight savings, 2) cheaper cost, 3) they want you to change the filter not just the oil. Yea right
I'll bet it was #2 all the way. I'd stick with regular DEX III if you still have warranty. Later>>>>>>>>>

A cheap alternative with more capicity is to buy a Silverado transmission pan. It is about 1" deeper and has a drain plug already built in. I paid around $50 for the pan, gasket and filter kit that goes with it from my local GM guy.
