4:10's or 4:11's

I am looking to getting my gears, just dont know what to go with. Keep in mind this is a daily driver. I upgraded clutch to a SPEC stage II. Where can i find them cheaper and what do you guys recommend? thanks...

4.10's are what our rears will take. i am pretty sure 4.11 is for like like a 9" rear or like a dana 60. our 10 bolts will take 4.10's. btw, if you could actually notice a difference between 4.10's and 4.11 gears in the back i would let you hit me over the head with a baseball bat

Actually, the gears I bought for my stock rear end are 4.11s - as are a lot of the gears people commonly state are 4.10s - simple way to check is this:

I have 37 teeth on the ring gear and 9 on the pinion -

37 divided by 9 = your gear ratio of 4.1111111111

now if you have 41 teeth on the ring gear and 10 on pinion -

41 divided by 10 = 4.10s

On a side note, with 412rwhp I am very pleased with my 4.11s - spec stage III has held up well and my rear end hasn't broken the gears or self imploded.......yet lol.

Motive sells 4.10 and 4.11 gears, often times under the same part number. Without opening the box to count the teeth, here's how to tell.

Motive 4.10 made in the USA = 4.10

Motive 4.10 made in Italy = 4.11

I've got the Motive 4.11 gears in my car and love them. The installer had to do a little mill work in the housing to get everything nice and pretty in there, but the gears are great, even for city driving.

You need to go with the 4.11s man. They are way stronger.
