When you dyno, you want to use the gear that is closest to 1:1, which is fourth in a 6 speed, 3rd in an A4. If you dyno in 3rd for a 6-speed, your numbers will be wrong (though can be converted to correct #'s with some work - but they won't be any higher in reality).
