3 Mufflers Later And Still Breakin

I am so sick of the whole muffler thing. I have had a Dynomax and blew the insides up. I had a Corsa muffler and blew the baffles up and now I have blew out another Corsa. Does anyone have just piping instead of mufflers? Kinda like the Loud Mouth. I have no cats and SLP Long Tubes so I am already loud as hell, so I don't want to wake the dead just starting the car. Thanks everyone!!

Thats what I would like to know. The glass packing on the dynomax blew up.. you could hear it shakin on the inside when I took it off. The first Corsa I had for a year and just one day it started makeing a LOUD rattling noise and I took it off and sent it back and they said it was a bad weld. The second one they won't fix cuz they can't figure out why I am breakin them. I have no clue either.

Were you running a dynomax bullet muffler or glass packs? I don't really know what to say about your problem. I have had my same Tri Flo set up on 2 cars and have put about 30k on it and have not had any problems. If you are wanting a new cat back you may look at the GMMG. The way it is designed it doesn't look like there is much to break in the muffler. You may also just look at a resonator like the loudmouth has.

This appears to be a common problem with the Corsa. They have already replaced one for me, but I haven't driven with the new one, yet, so I don't know if it will last or not.. That sucks that they won't give you another one.. I would try to get my money back too if I were you.

Get the Dynomax race-welded muffler. All it is made of is a Y-pipe inside of a muffler surrounded by fiberglass. There is nothing there to break. It also comes with a lifetime warranty and has about the highest flow of any muffler out there.Good luck.

get the borla, hell if you want bolt in a borla xr1. they are a very high quality race muffler, guess thats why they are 150 bucks. The borla catback, i found for 500 bucks from MTI. I love the design, mufflers with one intet and two outlets on opposite sides dont flow as well as a inlet/outlet muffler like on th borla. Plus when you want you can just pull the plate out. Very strong design, thick stainless steel, awsome tips, pretty little muffler that has borla logo printed on it. If you blow that one out, you have problems.
