A 2001 m6 z28

I have a 75 shot of nitrous and have a k&n FIPK kit. What is the next step for some more power without ruining drivability.

Is the nitrous and intake the only mods you have done to the car?

You need an airbox lid and a catback exhaust before you do anything else.

Exhaust wil definitely give you more power. Especially with the spray. Do the whole thing from the headers back. Even get some Mac's if you can't afford long tubes.

If you can't afford long tubes, save your money until you can.

The only reason to get mids is if your local inspection/emissions laws prohibit longtubes.

Great! Next step is an airbox lid. There are several options (SLP, MTI, Whisper). It'll cost you about $100 new; you might be able to find one used for less.

I had some Mac's and they were great. Got them used for $200 with the Y. Well worth the money, and install is a breeze. Once I saved up the money, I got some Kooks.

Sounds to me like you could have had your Kooks $200 earlier, and you wouldn't have had to do the work twice.

No need for a lid, he said he has a FIPK.

Why the 75 shot? This isn't a Honda. Jet it for 150. If you put headers on the car you may want to sell that SLP crap for an exhaust that actually has a muffler.

As I recall, a lid with a paper filter flows better than the FIPK for our cars. Replace the paper filter with a K&N drop-in replacement and it'll flow even better than that.
