is the cam in the 2000 SS considered a aggressive cam compared to a '98 '99 '01 '02? i know that the '01-'02 have LS6 intake,what makes the '98 '99 different from the '00?

 

the 2000 SS cam is no different than any other ls1 cam

 

Not true. 98-99 had the largest from the factory, and then in 00-02 they used the vortec truck cam.

 

98-00 had a more aggressive cam than 01-02, but not enough to make that much of a difference, but since the 01-02 have the ls6 intake they have the edge stock for stock.... nothin special about the year 00, except you get stuck with the AIR thing in the lid and EGR both...

 

98-00 have the same cam specs. Yes they have more lift than the 01-02. 01-02 had the LQ4/LQ9 "truck" cam of the same years. Ya, its a truck engine but a 6L rated IIRC from 320-345 hp.

in theory yes, but the difference wont be noticeable.
