2000 LS1 headers on a 02'

Here's the situation:

A week or so ago I ordered the SLP package from LS1speed.com. I ordered the 01-02 package w/ catted Y-pipe.

The packages arrived today, and while I was inspecting everything, it appears that LS1speed sent me a set of 2000 headers, based off of the part numbers on the enclosed inventory sheet sent with the headers. For the passenger header, the SLP part number was 300300501C.

My question is: will these fit on an 02' LS1? It appears that the headers sent to me that I suspect are the 00' variety have the EGR stuff on the passenger header. Will all I need is a block off plate, or what?

How does the block off plate work? Does it get welded into place to prevent leaks?

I just want to make sure I can use these headers correctly and safely before I call LS1speed up and get these headers shipped back and exchanged for a set of 01-02 headers.

All you need are block off plates.. they run something like $14... or so... you'll have to do a search. I have 00' headers on my 02' LS6 that's in my 98 Z... so... I think you'll be alright... I just have block off plates.

Well, got the headers on.... and yes, they fit just fine. Just had to weld in a block off plate for the EGR.
