Would a 2000 camaro ss win or lose in a street race agains a 1999 lighting? With both having no aftermarket mods and saying that both drivers were equally skilled.

 

I'd give the nod to the SS, assuming the launch isn't flubbed !!

L's are strong on the bottom end, but difficult to launch as well w/ the factory 18" Goodyears & lots o torque !!

Seems like a stocker runs around a low 14 high 13 1/4 , with the SS trending in the 13's.

Should be fun !!

Same result as that guy racing the Integra, you will kill him. 99 Lightings were not fast, mid 14s, the 02 ones are different, they run mid 13s.

 

You should walk away from him around 70 or so...maybe earlier

 

btw 99 L's were faster then mid 14's..motor trend got a 14.0 outta one, so that means the average driver could cut a high 13
