2000-2002 Air Lid Question

Is the Air Lid Breather filter for an air/smog pump, or something else. If so, has anybody disabled it, or know what happens if u do that. Had RX7 which had a CRAZY air box, put new meaning to the word. Had the air pump disabled on that is why I'm asking.

air lid

check out www.installuniversity.com they have details about it and give you the resister info you need to bypass the sensor. if you bypass it, go to a radioshack or something to get the resister. e-bay and other websites will sell it as a "chip kit" promising 8hp. its just bs. im sure you get something out of it but not as the ads write.

I think you misunderstood the question of the originator of the thread. He is asking about the lid with has air breather hose attached to it and would it hurt anything by eliminating the air hose. The resistor for IAT (based on your description) that you are talking about has nothing to do with the air hose.
