What are ways to tell whether its a true SS besides obvious things. i.e. hood, spoiler, badges, slp air box

X2 Go to Borders & buy "Camaro White Book" by Mike Antonick ~ $16 ~ it will give you the background information you are looking for.

Thanks a lot will the interior have any "SS" stitched into the seats or is that only the aniversary edition? And the vin is 2G1FP22G0X2112780 if that helps.

Correct me if I'm wrong; but that may have only been on the 1LE anniversary edition cars. I don't know if a Standard SS would have had them (although they may have been an optional adder???)

Since you have the actual VIN number, might not be a bad idea to get a full carfax of the car if you are seriously considering buying it.

The guys in this thread gave you some real good insight, and a carfax will tell you exactly what you're getting into. Granted it won't tell you EVERYTHING, but important things like title, model, etc. should all be there.

Thanks a lot I appreciate all the responses, and he has the carfax reports available already and it says Camaro z28 but I thought thats all that would show since SS was a package of z28
