17X11 zr1 wheels with 315 tires

I was wondering if anybody is running these in the rear of a convertible. I have a 99 SS convertible and was thinking on putting these on but I have heard the convertible wheels well is smaller than the coupes. I don’t want my ride to become uncomfortable. I would hate it if the tires would rub or if the edge or lip of the wheels well fender cuts into the sides of the tires. My 99 SS is stock ride height it does not have the SLP level 1 suspension so its not lowered.

i was going to to that(on a coupe) and at the local camaro club they said that one of the ppl in it has exact same wheels/tires(nitto) and hed to bang the hell out of the inside of the wheel well.. not sure about vert but if not afraid to hit your car some, should be fine

im just getting 17x9.5 and putting 275 or 285 on them. (in a week or two)

I put 17x11's with 315s on but my car is a coupe. first i had the wheels on with 275s and we only hade to space the wheel out and i was fine. As for the convertibles can not think of why the wheel well would be different from that on a coupe. After I put the 315s on the 17x11s we had to space it out even further but the studs got to short so we had to take out the axles to get at the studs. this solved the whole problem and I would suggest doing this instead of pounding in your wheel well.
