and who, pray tell, is that directed at? I've never claimed to know everything. I don't know everything, but I know more than nothing. If you're here for information, than why are you always talking about your cars and making irrelevant claims? If you want to flame me or someone else, take it somewhere else.

I just came here to offer the best opinion I can, which is all anyone can do. Sorry to whoever that is not good enough for. Maybe I should just stop posting.

If he is cutting the same 60' with MTs and street tires, I don't think he is launching hard enough on the MTs, which is what I attesting to.

I have been racing for a long time, and I don't appreciate being told I know nothing about it. I'm not sure why every time I post you have to disagree with me. A lot of things are a matter of opinion around here, sorry if we don't agree.
That's what I'm saying you had an LT1 and therefor all V8 f-bodies should act the same? That's just wrong. You may have been racing a long time but how many passes do you have in a stock automatic LS1 f-body? The comment wasn't about your general knowledge but about you stating that you could brake stall a stock LS1 to 2500rpm.
With the torque curve, gearing, weight, and stock converter a stock LS1 auto car will not often do any better than a 1.93-2.00 no matter what tire that you have. It just won't. I campained my 2000 with just a lid and Loudmouth back when it was new for 2 years and with sticky tires launching it as hard as the converter would let me, my best 60 in fantastic weather was a 1.93x. Average was a 2.0x. This was with 300 practice attempts.

I don't disagree with you all the time but if you post an opinion I have the right to post up mine too. I've been doing the LS1 thing since 98 and currently have 3 of them so I've formed a basis of knowledge from experience. If I don't know the answer to a question for a fact I don't answer.
