Is the only differance the loudness...18" is quieter than the 12"?

 

I have the 18" Dynomax bullet in my Loudmouth and its still decently loud when rpms climb or I bog the motor. Otherwise it pretty quiet at idle or rpms less than 1700.
I seriously doubt you'd loose any flow from using the 18 vs the 12 considering the straight through design.
