11.30s is the LS1 bolt on record??

Can someone post a link to the details of the LS1 bolt on record? I saw a guy in here with a red T/A that ran low 11s with simple bolt ons. I can't find that link anymore....

So, what's the fastest LS1 time with no nos or sc, just simple bolt ons?

Thanks.

According to ls1techs database a guy named "son of beasst" did a 9.754 quarter mile on all motor. Not sure if that filter takes out nitrous use or not though.

Without getting rediculous in weight reductions and street driveability I'd say an M6 with proper gears, rear, tires and all bolt-ons can hit low 12's.

A4's with high stall converter, gears, tires and all other bolt-ons can get mid 11's.

Start going nuts on weight reductions and every bolt-on known to man and I'd guess m6's are in mid 11's and A4's maybe upper 10's.

Bare in mind though that to hit those kind of times you need to have experienced drivers who know how to launch and get the 1.5 second 60' times. Cooler weather, track conditions and raceweight are all critical to pulling off 11's without heads/cam, SC or spraying.

Personally I am shooting for 12.00 for 1/4 mile. I like to drive my car around town so a 4400 stall and roll cage are not on my shopping list. I'd rather stay 12's and keep my car streetable.

The 9.75 car you're referring to is owned by Dave Douberly out of Pearland, TX. The engine was built by the SAM in Houston. It's 100% naturally-aspirated, and it will go quicker this fall.

I ran a best of 12.04 @ 111 MPH with a 1.67 60' with stock-internals and a Vig 3200. I could've had some easily 11.90's and most likely 11.80's if I had swapped the 4,400 stall torque converter in before I swapped cams. My raceweight was right at 3,525# on that run, too. It's not hard to get an A4-equipped LS1 into the 11's without cracking a valve cover. With heads/cam in place, LOW 11's are easy and 10's are achieveable with some weight reduction and the right weather.

Dang trevor. Thats one fast machine

Yeah the torque converter makes all the difference on a A4. I'm very pleased to see you got 1.6's for 60' times and low 12's with the vig3200 and stock engine. That is exactly what I am shooting for since I do not want a roll cage in a daily driver but still wanna have "dads night out at the track".

Sounds like a vig3200 with all bolt-ons should get me close to where I wanna be with maybe some nitto 555r for street/strip tire. I can not fathem what a 9 second car would feel like but dang these 13 second cars are a lotta fun

Cool

You won't have any problems getting your LS1 to run 12.0's with stock internals. We have been doing extensive testing on the TCI torque converters, and they have been working fantastic! My best 60' N/A with my TCI 3800 is a 1.55, and my best on the bottle is a 1.44. They work incredibly well, and they're hundreds of dollars cheaper than what else is out there. Their customer service is second-to-none, too. We have them listed in the transmission section of our website, so you might check them out. We can have one custom-built from TCI for no additional charge!

As for the roll cage, you can get them to where they're pretty street-friendly. I have a 5-pt. Wolfe in my SS with a removable swingout driver's-side bar. I never use the backseat anyways, so the crossbar doesn't bother me. However, you can get a removable crossbar from Wolfe, so that would allow you to retain a functional backseat. I LOVE the look of a cage in a 4th gen.
