10 bolt question???

10 bolt question???

Is there any way to make a 10 bolt strong enough to hold up to slicks in a 6 speed car and what does it cost , Thanks

Slicks + 6 speed = no way 7.5 10 bolt will hold , you will need to go 12 bolt or 9". So your looking at 2k easy.

You *might* get one or two passes with slicks and the stock rear, but I wouldn't bet on it. Slicks + 6 Speed + stock rear = GREANDE!

Start saving your change and plan on throwing down around $2,500 for a Moser 12 bolt. You'll be happy you did and your car will thank you for it.

Oh, and after that, start saving your pennies for a new clutch.

with a detroit locker, aftermarket axles, girdled cover, 3.42 gear you might get somewhere if your using the stock clutch. lets just say i'd trailer it to the track.
