Some info about your car would help...i.e. year, transmission, any mods?

We definately need to know what transmission you have at the very least. Obviously it's a different proceedure launching a Manual then it is an Automatic.

Also post up your best time. What was the 60' time? What was the trap speed? What year is your car?

We can probably help you but we need more info first.

What was your trap speed? If your driving a LS1 you should be over 100 mph. I'd suggest trying some drag radials. Give us some more info, Fred

OMG!
Ya need to run at the most 32psi (thats my rule of thumb) and for the track, on street tires I bring it to no less than 28psi.
Dont do burnouts on street tires. That only gets your tires dirty and they are not meant for it.
Now for more help, let us know what you were driving. car, tranny, tire type, year....

I run 28psi all the time. I always do a quick burnout too to get all the junk like little rocks and stuff that I picked up from the end of the track and through the pits.

I don't know everything there is to know by launching on street tires but at 25 PSI my Goodyear GSC's did alow me to cut a 2.040 60' time with my M6. Track prep and available traction combined with driver skill makes all the difference, IMO

Niether do I but with my 2000 A4 car on GSCs 27 psi was the sweet spot and I have over 200 timeslips with 2.0x 60s to back it up.

4.11 rear and Kuhmo 712's netted me a 1.9 60' time. Launching at 3000 RPM. Oh yeah, the LCA's don't hurt either.

For some drag racing tips, hit my web site www.BlackWS6.com

Give us some info on your car and we'll help ya out.

With 4.11's, you should be cutting way better 60' times. I am running consistent 1.95 60' times with the stock 3.42 rear end and stock suspension on a track that probably rivals for the worst prep in the country. You should definitely be a tenth or two quicker.
