Post 03' Mustang Cobra vs. 02' Camaro Z28

Anyone have time trials for head to head races between these two cars?

What modifications can be done on a stock ls1 motor to match horsepower with the Cobra?

Hmmm,no head-to-head that I know of.But the best Z28 time I've heard was a 12.8 or 12.9 totally stock while the cobra I think ran a 12.4 or something like that.I'm just guessing from memory.

Talking

You should go to the kills section and read the threads about an 03 Cobra vs. 02 SS.
There some good info in there about modding and alot of other trash talking.

Basically, a completely stock 03 Cobra will be faster than any stock LS-1. So with that being said, an LS-1 can even the race by adding an exhaust with headers, lid, & intake. And if the car is an auto, then ad a high stall and you should be as quick if not quicker.
And I always agree with the nitrous mod. Add a 100 - 125 kit and your good to go.

Just don't forget that these 03 cobras take VERY nicely to mods!!!
Someone took a stock cobra and installed a pulley (more boost), full exhaust, CAI, and DR's...then ran in the mid 11's. That is just awesome.
Take it for what it's worth but never underestimate these cobras.

Actually procharger has a supercharger that was tested on an ls1 vette was putting 540+ and can handle up to 750 for less than 5k. That should handle the 03 cobra for sure.
