Arrow 03' Cobra info....for those who want to be informed.!!

Two of my buddies have new 03' Cobras, one just dynoed 361 rwhp, that's with the snorkel taken out and a KN that's it.
My other buddy ran a 12.89 1/4 mile on the Gtech, my best is in the sig. He also had a 4.60 0-60.
They are fast.

Well the info was posted because I have first hand experience and others on the board seemed to be confused about the power of these cars, so the info is out there, what's the problem.

As for you being faster for half the price I think not. You had the cost of your car and the cost of your mods, how much was the ATI...? Hardly a cheap mod. My buddy paid $28k./

Yea, but what if they were naturally aspirated like we are? Or what IF, WE supercharged? 400 to the wheels AT LEAST. I'm not impressed.

Hey guys, lets get something straight. I didn't put this info up to say how great the Cobra is. I put it up to show what they can do, I'm the first one to give my buddies crap about how they have to do it with an SC on a little 4.6. I beleive the LS1, currently, is the best designed normally aspirated motor ever to come out of Detroit, and they respond excellent to mods. In another post some guys were saying how they didn't need to worry about the new Cobras, about how they weren't that fast, are heavy, etc. Well Ford did their homework and also Underrated the Cobra, and if the average LS1 guy thinks he is going to smoke a new Cobra you might need to think again, you might be the one getting smoked. And don't think these Cobra guys are just sitting there NOT doing mods, they are. My buddy just ordered up his pulley and a Corsa catback, and a chip ($900 total), this setup will have his rear wheel HP around 460, you have something for that...?
Btw, yes he did buy a new Cobra for $28k, some people know how to get a good deal and/or a good discount.

No need to jump on a politely posted thread with negativity just because the news isn't brand new to you. If it bores you, just ignore it. If Btchslp posted with a sarcastic attitude, then that would be another story altogether.

IMO, I like to hear the occassional update of firsthand accounts.

For $28K? That's less than a lot have paid on an SS. Doesn't it list for $35+? To get 20% off the price is incredible. The dealer couldn't have made a single dime on the sale, I would guess.

Both still under warranty.

Sorry, but "no markup" 03's are still going for $34k.

Ford hasn't put the 351 in a mustang since the early 70's. Sure saleen did in the s-351, but then again it's not realy a ford. It is the same design as the 2001 cobra's just minus the aluminum block and with an eaton blower on top. Those cars are not easy openents. Saw one in houston with x-pipe, S/C pulley he said uped it to 20 lbs of boost but you know how people talk, exhuast, and he ran a mid 11 at i think 120 something, forgot what it was exactly. The big deal with these cars is the forged internals, so they are built to handle boost, as they have been in the past. Thanks for the info.
