Sounds good. Thunder racing sells the Hooker L/T, and the Y-pipe,
dont know about the cat back though.

To use the Hookers you will need the AIR tubes for a '98 and an EGR blockoff plate.

There are a couple options on the Y-pipe, but none of them really include cats. You will also need a pair of O2 simms and extensions.

are the mac headers any good? Ive read on the site that basicly nothing other than a long tube makes decent hp.Is there any header out there that bolts on ez to a catback that makes decent hp.My goal is not to tear up my car too much.Just keeping it clean and simple with the best possible outcome on hp.The plans on my Lt1 was to be an all out project. This one(Ls1) on the other hand Im taking it ez.

Although it may be a bit pricy, I'd go with the FLP header/y-pipe/cat/offroad package for like $1300 I think. From what I've heard about them in the forum, they can't be beat. I'm saving for them as my next addon.

OK,
1)So one option is buy the mac setup and just use my stock cats since the majority of the board says the mac cats basicly suck.
2)Save big bucks and do the flp exhaust.

Still trying to keep it clean and legal.......

Anybody running the mac setup and any regrets? Thanks.

You can get the Jet-Hot's, or Hooker's, and have an exhaust shop make a custom y-pipe with cats in it for you, should still come out cheaper than FLP, I think.
