Z28 vs SS Springs
Z28 vs SS Springs
I need to trade my low Eibach springs back for stock on my '02 SS convertible (just-installed remote mount STS turbo & pipes too low).
I need to know if 4th gen Z28 and SS springs are the same and interchangeable or if I need to find some specifically off an SS to trade.
Also; is there any difference in years? Convertible vs hardtop?
So far my possibilities for a trade are; '98 Z, '02 Z, '00 SS.
Thanks.

Re: Z28 vs SS Springs
You can use any of the springs from 93-02 but since you are in an LS1 car (different weight rating on springs then LT1 car) you should get the springs from a 98+. The SS springs were a higher weight rating so they were stiffer to improve handling but you don't need to use them if you don't want to or can't get a hold on some.

Get a take-off set from SLP. Not much difference in spring rates really between Z28 and SS
