FOr you guys with windows that roll up slow or stop, help inside.

I thought I was about to have to buy new window motors, then I applied a trick from when I was a Honda tech. As cars get older the rubber window guide(tracks) get dry. The window has a hard time sliding on it.

Go to the auto parts and buy some spray silicone in an aerosol can.

Roll the window down and in the front of the door where the glass slides in soak it down with silicone spray. Do it two times minimum.

Worked very well on mime.

David

Mods, we dont have a "body" section...so I put it here.

Great suggestion. This could probably go in the general tech section.

I'm gonna have to do that tomorrow, I think that if there isn't one already, this has the chance to be a sticky b/c I'm sure most LTx cars have that going on.

My drivers side window was actually stopping on the way up, the motor was getting hot enough to shut off. It goes up fine now.

Whenever my door panels are off I lube the tracks with lithium grease.
