Is there a Ws6 owner out there who can tell me what the owners manual says as far as stock horsepower for a Ws6? ive heard alot of b/s about it, so i just want someone who know's what they're talking about to clear things up. if you apply, please reply. that rhymed, how retarded.

 

What year is your WS6?? The year will make a difference (either '96 or '97 with the LT1, or '98-'02 with the LS1). Also, there are slight differences between '98-'00 and '01-'02. AND, even in each year, there were different options you could order from the factory which SLP would put onto your WS6 (or Camaro SS), so that'll make a difference too.

I don't know exactly, but I think that the LT1 in '96/'97 is rated around ~285 HP? For '98-'00, the LS1 (in WS6's/SS's) was normally rated at ~320 HP, and '01/'02 they were rated at ~325 HP, but then again, in 2002 there were 345 HP packages available.

Basically though, I've you've got an LS1 WS6, the engine is making roughly ~350 HP (same as the LS1 in the Corvette) and whatever you actually have at the wheels depends on the transmission (A4 or M6) and what intake/exhaust your car has. You could see anywhere from ~300 HP to ~320 HP at the rear wheels.

 

If its an lt1 its 285hp and if its an ls1 follow what pete said. I was always under the impression that the ws6 was basically a suspension option w/ ram air and wheels.

 

Horsepower on the LT1 WS6 cars was 305 HP.

 

I was going to say, but someone beat me to it... LT1 WS6's are 305bhp stock...

Normal LT1's were 285bhp...
