would this make my 1/4 times worse can you figure this out? please help

im sick of this dealer by my house, i KNOW something is wron with my car, i can feel it when i drive, it seems like its shifting weird, taking too long to finish 2-3 shift. they said the cat is fine, which took me by surprise because there are 2 of them not just one cat. then they said their guy drove it and said nothing is wrong.

ok... I know this info probably isn't terribly useful... BUT I HATE DEALERSHIPS!!!!!!!! The idiots that drive your cars to test them, don't drive your car everyday! So they don't know if something feels funny!

and the black soot inside the exhaust is normal. the principle byproducts of burning a petrolium based compound is carbon, co2 and water.
no an excess build up may point towards some problem, but minor amouts are normal
