Which wipers work?

I just bought a set of ANCO contour wiper blades only to find out they wont mount. I really want a set of blades that are solid rubber and dont have all of the metal brackets. Does anyone know of a set that will fit my 95 Z28?

FYI - Avoid Rain X blades. You can make them work but you have to bend the metal to make them conform to the windshield.

What's funny is Rain-x says they fit, I tired at pep-boys and it was a no go, the part of the blades close to the hood would'nt even touch the windshield,
not designed for our "j-hook" arm.

I could not find any "modern" one piece like wiper to fit 97< camaro. I tried modding the wipers but gave up. You can run 98> wiper arms and use whatever you want. Just went with new conventional refills.

I put the Rain-X "curved" ones on my 2002 and they seem to work just fine without any modifications, Do the pre 98's not have the same windshield??

The problem isn't the windshield, it's the fact that the pre 98 wipers use a reverse mounting system. This means the wiper arm actually hooks up from the bottom in a 'J' fashion. Only a few of the metal frames have the extra room that's needed to mount these.

The rain-x curved ones I bought came with like 5 different adapters to hook them up in a bunch of different ways including the j-hooks

Re: Which wipers work?

Had problems with the wiper arms. The wiper arm book has them listed for a '93 Camaro, but then skips to '98-'02 (nothing listed for '94-'97). I tried 24" blades, but they were not clearing the rain correctly so I took them back.
