When I twist the windshield wiper switch to "mist" it doesn't work unless it's twisted VERY hard. Not sure exactly how it works, but I think the contacts are worn. The other presets work fine, just the "mist" isn't working. Can the switch be taken apart to be cleaned, or am I looking at needing to buy a whole new steering column unit. Thanks.

 

The switch by itself is replaceable, you don't need to replace the whole column.
