windshield?
windshield?
How hard are they to replace and how much would a junkyard want for one?
also have the opportunity to pick up a 95 trans am for 1800 with minor front end damage and a cracked windshield. I can do the body work and paint just for the price of materials so do you think it'd be worth it? I'd really want to upgrade it to the ls1 style front end as well if its not too difficult. Thanks guys

They're glued in with urethane. The chances of you getting one from the junkyard without damaging it are possible but slim. A junkyard windshield will probably also have sand pits in it. You then need to cut yours out, clean up the ledge and glue the new one in with urethane. (not silicone)
Contact your local glass installer. It can be a lot cheaper to just buy a new windshield and have it installed properly the first time.

I had a windshield replaced on mine for less than $200. I think it came out to $160 and change, but I had done quite a bit of business with the glass company in the past. Call around and you're sure to get a good quote somewhere...
My window was ~175, but get references beforehand because they pass out some ****ty ones, and they'll have to come back to give you a new one if its warped. Warped windows cause headaches, I know from experience.
