You mean the metal clip itself cracked? Usually the plastic around the clip goes first. If it did, just glue the clip back in. If your clip is broken or missing, try a junkyard.

The clip cracked. It must have fallen into the door. They dont make this pat anymore. Makes the car feel old when I hear that Are there any older chevys with similar clips?

GM PART # 9722397 for the metal clip still shows up at gmpartsdirect.com, so I would say you can still get them.

I had where the metal clip slides into break off. So mine was looking like you pic so I ended up epoxing the whole thing. This all happen from repeated times of removing it and the door panel for window motor replacement then the speaker rattled from a loose bolt then the window rattled. Oh well if I have to removed it I will probable break lots of stuff.

may have a guy in ny that has that part, I bought some parts from him about three weeks ago and he had that still. I needed the bezel that went around the door handle. If you want I will look for the number and you can call him to see if he will ship it to you.

Under the key fob? It is under the panel to hold it on.

this recently happened to me during a window motor replacement. i grabbed a flashlight and a retrieval magnet and fished out the clip. pulled off the switch bezel from the car. mixed up a dab of jb weld and epoxied it together, 24 hours later i re-installed it. it was tight and good as new. seem like you need to dig out your old spring steel clip from inside the door.
