i have a 350 small block with a cracked head i have a set of heads with the casting number376450 i know they will bolt on but will it run right

 

yes, probably
run pretty good, they are the smaller valves, but will increase your compression

 

the head has 60 cc chambers as the old heads have 76 cc will the raise in compression effect the life or performance of this engine

 

it will increase the performance, shouldn't have any real effect on life, if driven similar


however, premium will be needed

depending on pistons, going from 76cc to 60cc will bump a 8.5:1 CR to about 10.5:1 CR

 

some people i know are saying that itwont raise compression and that ill lose power wit the smaller valves any info would be greatly appreciated i am trying to get this motor completed by myself for a 51 gmc pickup im restoring

 

the motor will stay stock for know when i have some extra cash i want to build a 383 stroker
