Will intake pipe rust?

I am making a custom intake out of 3in exhaust pipe. I was thinking of having it jet-hot coated but if I didn't would it tend to rust on the inside over time? I don't want that to get into the motor. Also does jet-hot get into your pipes or just on the outside?

So the pipe I got bent up, I thought it was going to be mandrel bent because thats what they usually do but it doesn't look like it. It's not like the really crappy bends but there are a few kinks. Two on the 45 and 4 on the 90. I thought about calling back to see if I could get them mandrel. If so I would sell this one. It fits great, you just need a 3.5-3in reducer coupling and a filter.

if its not stainless it will rust, and sounds like you got some crush bends.

Cera-metallic coatings (e.g. Jet-Hot) can be applied to both the inside and outside of the pipe. If you are worried about the inside of the tube rusting, use a high qualtiy epoxy primer on it, after sandblasting.

ya they were crushed but not real bad like I've seen before. I painted it the other day and it looks pretty good. I'll keep this one for awhile then I'll have another made up with mandrel bends and ceramic coating. Jet-Hot is pretty expensive. I want black and it is an extra 60 bucks or so.

They said they would do the inside also. I won't have this one on there forever so I will just have to keep checking it so rust doesn't get too bad and fall off into the motor.

Also this is going to look very clean and be wayyy cheaper than an slp. I will prb have less than 100 in it. Now if I wanted it ceramic coated it would be another 100ish. It would be cheaper to build but I couldn't find a cheap filter so I'm going with a k&n.
