Why is this so difficult...turn signal replacement?

So I'm not sure why this is so hard, but I can't seem to get the old turn signal out....
I found the clip, I've pushed it in, tried to turn it, tried to pull it out.... nothin works??

Well finally figured it out... if anyone ever has this problem, it's a lot easier to undo three bolts on the plastic curve at the bottom of the car, squeeze an arm in and pull the bulb out.

Wait, turn signal? I just reached in the inlet below it and popped it out.

Was easy once I figured out how to turn it.

Finally got it after an hour , from the bottom. Got pliers on it to start turning 1999-2008; I'd love it if these damn CFL bulbs would last half as long!!!

Jeez. I've never had any trouble. And I got one that fishbowls.

Reach in the slit underneath the housing, and pop it out.

On 98-02 Camaro's i just pop the headlights out (5 minutes at the most) and everything is right there, i can do both turn signals and foglights in less than 10 minutes.
