Has anyone fixed the dreaded tear on the driver's side by your left hip?

If so, what did you use and is it holding up?

 

Duct Tape, the good stuff, not the el cheapo(Spanish for cheap!). But that was only for a week before getting it pro done. If you replace the patch of leather, you have to take the whole leather skin off the seat to do so. Then you just have to sew in the new leather piece. I had an interior shop take car of it for me. Cost about $60-80 iirc.
