Whisper Lid question

Whisper Lid question

What all did you guys recieve when you got your whisper lid, I ordered one from TBYRNE Motorsports and they said id recieve the lid from the manufacuterer and the required breather filter from them, what is the breather filter?

The breather/filter fits into the AIR pump hose that originally connected to the stock air box. Just install it and zip tie the hose so it won't hit anything, and be careful not to kink the hose and restrict air flow - it'll throw a SES light.

Forgot to mention, if you have trouble getting the IAT sensor and rubber grommet out to transfer them to the new lid - a couple drops of liquid dishwashing soap works like a champ - rinse and dry thoroughly before using though.

btw, not all the ls1's had the breather hose. to the best of my knowledge, it was 98-00. 01-02 (could be wrong) didnt have it. i dont know if thats due to changes like the ls6 intake.

Well mine is a 2000 and the instructions dont mention anything about a breather filter or filter of any kind so I'm not sure

at least they gave you the filter. i had to order mine extra

I have an '02 Z and it has the line that runs from the air box lid to the breather pump. I bought an SLP lid and it came with the fitting built in to reconnect the AIR pump line

that's the big reason why I went with the SLP lid over others
