Where's a Mechanic when ya need one ????

The fun is getting ready to begin.....I just got my new fuel pump after all of your guys advice and thought while I was going to get my hands dirty hopefully you all can help me with a few more issues....

I got what I think was a good deal on my 1997 Z28, M6 with 120,000 miles real, real clean, white with the orange stripes for $5800.00. Got some small tuning problems I think or maybe just forgotten maintence by the last owner. It bogs in any gear under 2k if you try to accell ,small oil leak coming from the front timing chain cover, and smells like its running rich...

Any advice on what I need to tune or A good Mechanic in Charlotte NC area to take it to

ANY THOUGHTS????? Thanks

If you shopped around a little more you could have found one for $3500 or so but too late.

Make sure you use premium fuel.

Change the plugs and wires.

It could be the Opti Spark but try the plugs and fuel first.

I would recommend bringing it to a Chevy/GM dealer before things get worse.

Like stated, it could be a number of things...
You can go through them one by one... as I would. But if you do not have that mechanical ability, or the time, take the thing into a GM dealer and get them to fix it.
It's really hard finding mechanics that know what they are talking about.... good luck.

YEah, I was gonna say ignition, for the bogging under 2g rpm.
